Man in historical costume gives street performance - Bergen op Zoom

The 60th edition of the Krabbenfoor

Estimated reading time: approx. 1 min

The Krabbenfoor was started small 62 years ago by a number of active entrepreneurs and has grown over the years into a true Burgundian festival for the entire city centre.

Where formerly the stalls were still houses and the shopkeepers dressed up in old traditional costume, this annual fair has gradually developed into the present day with a mixture of stalls, entertainment, art and culture, and the hospitality sector is making extra efforts to make visitors happy.

Last year it was announced that the Burgundian Crab Fair is the largest annual market in Brabant and Zeeland, with a record number of 250,000 visitors spread over 4 days. A great compliment then!

Due to Corona, there was no Krabbefoor for 2 years, which is why we are celebrating the 60th edition this time, and you can enjoy it to the fullest.

It is an event by entrepreneurs, for entrepreneurs, and of entrepreneurs, where visitors are fully catered for.

Remember that this is only possible thanks to the dedication of volunteers, who work incredibly hard to make this event a success, but the excellent cooperation of the council must also certainly be mentioned.

We are organising this Crab Fair with many people to ensure that visitors can enjoy another wonderful event in our city and that when they return home, they will be determined to come back to Bergen op Zoom again.

I wish you all a very nice and cosy Crab Fair, good weather and of course I wish all entrepreneurs very good business.
