The Krabbenfoor is Bergen op Zoom's largest and most enjoyable annual event. For four days, the historic city centre transforms into a vibrant festival with hundreds of market stalls, live music, street theatre, children's activities, art, culture, catering, and plenty of conviviality. Every year, the Krabbenfoor attracts tens of thousands of visitors from the Netherlands and Belgium, and it's the perfect moment to experience Bergen op Zoom's Burgundian atmosphere.

At the Krabbenfoor, there's something for everyone. You'll find hundreds of market stalls with fashion, home accessories, regional products, delicacies, books, jewellery, toys, and great bargains. Additionally, you can enjoy pleasant terraces, live music, street theatre, and entertainment in various squares. There are also children's activities, an art market in the courtyard of the Markiezenhof, cultural presentations, and various hospitality squares. The combination of shopping, tasting, meeting, and enjoying makes the Krabbenfoor a complete day out for young and old alike.

The Krabbenfoor takes place in the historic city centre of Bergen op Zoom, which is easily accessible. If you're travelling by train, it's about a 10-minute walk from Bergen op Zoom station to the event. If you're travelling by car, please use the car parks and parking lots on the outskirts of the centre. Please note that a number of streets in the city centre will be closed to traffic during the Krabbenfoor. If you're coming from the surrounding area, cycling is often the quickest and most practical choice. For up-to-date information on accessibility, parking and any traffic measures, please consult the information on this website in advance.

Parking information

Are you coming to the Krabbenfoor by bike? You can park it in several places in and around the city centre. There are cycle racks in various locations where you can safely lock your bike. There is also a Free supervised cycle parking at Pastoor Joorenplein, where a manager is present during opening hours. You can also use the camera-monitored NS bicycle shed at Bergen op Zoom station, about a 10-minute walk from the city centre.

Cycling in the streets participating in the Krabbenfoor is not permitted. This will be monitored and enforced. 

If you take this into account, you can enjoy the Crab Fair to your heart's content.

During the Crab Fair, toilets are available at various locations in the city centre. In addition, many catering establishments are participating in the Urgent Toilet App. Via this free app, you can easily see which toilets are available nearby, including opening hours, any costs, and accessibility.

Download the HogeNood app before or during your visit so you can always quickly find a toilet nearby. Naturally, you can also follow the signage at the event to the public toilet facilities.

Restaurants

No. The Crab Fair is free to access And no entrance fee is charged. The performances, street theatre acts and entertainment in the squares are also freely accessible to all visitors.

If a performance takes place on a terrace or in a café or catering establishment, the house rules of that location apply. Visitors are of course expected to order something when they use the terrace or enjoy the music indoors. This is also how you contribute to the cosy atmosphere and the hospitality of the catering industry during the Krabbenfoor.
