Carnival celebration with cheerful costumes and parade.

Carnival in Bergen op Zoom: Four weeks of fun from January 16th, 2027

Estimated reading time: approx. 46s

From 16 January 2027, the carnival festivities will kick off in the bustling ‘Krabbegat’, known as Vastenavend in Bergen op Zoom. It begins with the legendary Neuzebal. For four consecutive weekends, our city celebrates in spectacular fashion. A highlight during Vastenavend is the impressive parade, comprising around sixty enthusiastic participants (floats and groups) who fill the streets with unparalleled fun!

Especially for the youngest attendees, there's the enchanting Children's Carnival on Monday, 8th February (planned) in the Grote Markt, where the majestic church tower ‘De Peperbus’ with its friendly bells will greet the little revellers.
