Mixed Choir CQ celebrates 25 years with a festive concert in Den Enghel – 08-11-2026

Estimated reading time: approx. 49s

An afternoon full of singing, recognizable music, and Berg’s enthusiasm: on Sunday, November 8, 2026, the Gemengd Koor CQ celebrates its 25th anniversary with a festive anniversary concert in Den Enghel. The concert begins at 1:30 p.m. and admission is free.

Under the direction of conductor Rob van den Aarsen, CQ presents a selection from its extensive repertoire, with arrangements by the conductor himself. The Mannenkoor Heerenleven choir from Breda and the Zang- en muziekcollectief Passie from Bergen op Zoom also contribute musically to this anniversary evening.

Since its founding in 2001, CQ stands for singing together with joy and ambition. The choir has about 56 members, with almost equal numbers of men and women. They perform a versatile, multi-part repertoire in Dutch, French, German and English.

Van Good heavens, how strong up to The Wild Rover And from Ramses Shaffy to the Rolling Stones: CQ feels at home in various musical styles. Songs that sing the love for Bergen op Zoom also have a permanent place in the repertoire.

That variety, along with the enthusiasm of the singers and the contributions of the guest choirs, makes this anniversary concert an inviting afternoon for everyone who loves choral singing. Join in the celebration and enjoy 25 years of musical togetherness!
