The sculpture is by Jerome Symons and can be found on Thaliaplein, a centrally located and lively square in the heart of Bergen op Zoom. The artwork, which immediately catches the eye with its unique shape and impressive presentation, has a deeper meaning that goes beyond mere aesthetics. The purpose of this artwork is to encourage people to contemplate and reflect on the current state of our society, as well as the past and the future. Through this artwork, we are encouraged to think about important themes such as peace, security, and society as a whole.

Jerome Symons' artwork, with its profound themes and unifying power, is therefore more than just a visual object. It is a source of inspiration and a reminder of the values we uphold as a community. It invites us to reflect on where we come from, where we are now, and where we want to go, and it reminds us that peace, security, and living together are not self-evident, but something we must work towards every day.

The location is also important because various commemorations, including those on 4 May, are held in this square, and the monuments for those fallen in wars are also located there, by the St. Gertrude's Church, around which wreaths are laid on 4 May.
