Van 2 to 5 July 2026 changes the Grote Markt in Bergen op Zoom again in a large sand field during the annual Beach volleyball tournament Bergen op Zoom. The sporting event has since secured a firm place on the Bergen events calendar, attracting participants and spectators to the city centre.

For the tournament, the Grote Markt will be transformed into a temporary beach volleyball facility, complete with sand courts in the middle of the historic city centre. Over several days, teams will compete against each other in various matches.
