Archaeology Tour Hidden Fortress

Every month, Stichting In den Scherminckel organises an Archaeology Tour to the Hidden Fortress.

A visit to the Hidden Fortress begins at the ArcheoHotspot in Bergen op Zoom. Here, you'll receive a captivating presentation about what a fortress is, its components, and their purpose. It also covers what remains of Bergen's fortifications, or what no longer does, discovered during archaeological excavations. Subsequently, we take a short walk of about five minutes to the Hidden Fortress. There, we descend via stairs, allowing you to hear, see, and experience the Hidden Fortress. This takes place amidst impressive archaeological remains and thanks to a fascinating audiovisual presentation on three large cinema screens.

In 2026, Archaeology Tours will be organised on: (Subject to change, always check with the organiser.)
