In Park Lievensberg in Bergen op Zoom, a Bijenburg/bee pasture is established.

Wild bees and other pollinators are vital to our environment. They play a crucial role in pollinating plants and provide food for other animals. When bees thrive, countless other plant and animal species benefit. That's why bees deserve our special attention!

The Bijenburg at Park Lievensberg is part of the Bee Landscape West-Brabant, in which since 2018, over 40 organisations (governments, businesses, educational institutions, farmers, associations) have been working together on various types of projects for wild bees, in rural and urban areas. Very positive results are being achieved, supported by research and science.
