Archaeological Museum Bergen op Zoom, open Wednesday and Saturday.

Estimated reading time: approx. 36s

The Scherminckel is presenting an archaeology exhibition in the former police station at Wassenaarsestraat 61. On display are finds that could not previously be exhibited, such as finds of metal, wood, and bone. But also other finds from the Stone Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age, Roman period, Merovingian, Carolingian, and Ottonian periods.

Attention is also paid to Europe. How pottery from Bergen op Zoom was distributed throughout Europe and beyond, and how pottery from other parts of Europe came to Bergen op Zoom and how foreign techniques were applied here.

The Archaeological Museum is open every Wednesday and Saturday from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM and groups are also welcome by appointment. Admission is free, although a voluntary contribution is greatly appreciated. More information about all activities, dates, times and registration can be found at https://scherminckel.nl.
It is accessible for disabled people, bus stop right outside.

Experience the history of Bergen op Zoom and discover the many archaeological finds that are kept here.
