You can only stand on the Boulevard side; further back it's 2 to 3 metres deep. Nevertheless, the Binnenschelde is an excellent spot for beginner surfers as well as recreational users. It's also a favourite spot for better surfers to improve their moves and manoeuvres. The best conditions occur with south-west to north winds, with west being the best direction.

Windsurfing is a cool sport that's quick to learn. We give our lessons in cooperation with windsurfing school Rulez on the Binnenschelde in Bergen op Zoom. The water here is flat and we teach in knee-deep water.

Our lessons last an hour and we teach with a maximum of two people per instructor. This means you get a lot of attention, guaranteeing your learning results! After every lesson, you can use the equipment for an additional fifteen minutes for self-practice!
