‘AS WE ARE’: HUMOUR, GOOSEBUMPS AND TEAR-STAINED EYES
In their music theatre show ‘Zoals we zijn’ (As We Are), you'll visit Ilona and Eva and it will feel as if you're sinking into the sofa in their musical living room. They'll take you into their (slightly) chaotic world and surprise you with funny and sensitive songs and stories about their daily experiences. About mountains of laundry that never seem to shrink, about keys and phones that somehow always go missing, and about locking yourself out naked on a warm day. But also about getting older, the realisation of finitude, and losing loved ones. Quadraad consists of Ilona Dekker (vocals, percussion), Eva Stultjens (vocals, piano, guitar and ukulele), accompanied by Frans Welschen on guitar, bass guitar and percussion.
Intimate, funny and moving — as if you're visiting friends you secretly already knew well.

Roel C. Verburg is a stand-up singer-songwriter or a guitar comedian; a musician in the body of a comedian. He has performed at festivals such as Lowlands, Zwarte Cross, and Concert at the Sea, and alongside numerous stand-up comedy gigs across the country, he is currently touring with his theatre show “Magical Realism”. His songs cover all sorts of topics: from alcoholism to relationship problems, and from linguistic Nazism to time travel, but the common thread in his repertoire is always humour.
“Songs in the tradition of Hans Dorrestijn, with the musical quality of Spinvis. Elsevier
“Roel C. Verburg is a phenomenon in himself” Trouw
“Haha, brilliant! Jochem Myjer
“Why don’t we all know Roel C. Verburg?” - Marcel van Roosmalen

Lazy Sunday Afternoon The terrain around the Pompejustoren is once again transforming into a relaxed festival full of music, atmosphere and experience. Lazy Sunday Afternoon is back. Small-scale, quirky and exactly as you want it on a balmy summer day.
Let yourself be carried away to the era of flower power, freedom, and great music. With live performances by JAG and Mellow Yellow 69, it will be an afternoon full of recognition, singalongs, and musical surprises. From laid-back listening in the grass to gentle dancing in the sun.
But Lazy Sunday is more than just music. On the grounds, you'll find everything that makes this afternoon complete. Grab some fresh chips from the chip van, cool down at the vintage ice cream van, and browse the colourful hippie campers. For those who want to fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere, get your face painted or opt for a set of hippie braids. And amidst all the merriment, you'll discover unique hippie stuff.
As if that weren't enough, a special musical surprise awaits you this year. Something you won't see coming, but that will certainly stay with you. Grand, unexpected, and never before seen in Bergen op Zoom.
Lazy Sunday Afternoon is not a festival to tick off your list. It's one to be experienced. Together, in the sun, with a drink in your hand and music that stays with you.
